Our President

Dream, diligence and dedication empower man to translate his vision into reality and that is what our President Dr. Nadeem A. Tarin has successfully achieved. A great visionary, entrepreneur, engineer, an administrator Dr. Tarin may well be regarded a great educationist who has constantly worked towards contributing to the society.

Born in Sambhal, a small town of Western Uttar Pradesh, he completed his B. Sc. (Civil Engineering) from the Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in 1979 and thereafter went on to become a leading name in the field of construction and infrastructure development.

He began his professional career with the Delhi Municipal Corporation and displayed outstanding command over Project Management to become the Director of Saudi Al-Terias Contracting Company, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1980. He is engaged in several landmark international projects as well. He is presently, the Co-founder and Managing Director of Sultan Al-Saadi Est., Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Being a classic example of a self-made man, the distinguishing feature about Dr. Tarin’s success story is his philanthropy. When it was time to celebrate his success he preferred sharing it with the community, especially the needy, marginalized and relegated section of society. He strives proactively and incessantly to spread the light of education through the Nadeem Tarin Educational Society established in 1994 and is the founding head of many scholarships and endowments for Indian students abroad. He funded the establishment of many schools, including the land for Maulana Azad National Urdu University, U.P. Regional Centre at Sambhal and a post-graduate Boys & Girls College inaugurated by Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, DPS School, Riyadh, Dunes International School, Al-Khobar, Yanbu, Tabuk and Buraiydah in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ayesha Tarin Modern Public School (+2), Aligarh, Mission International Academy and Al-Tarin ITI at Sambhal (U.P.).

His services to the social causes and support for multiple charities have fetched him profound applause. Aligarh Muslim University during the 62nd Convocation in 2015 decorated him with the Doctor of Letters (D. Litt. Honoris Causa). An NRI of repute, he has created job opportunities for thousands of Indians abroad for which he received the ‘Hind Rattan Award’. ‘Mohsin-e-Qaum Award’ was conferred upon him and he received it from the Hob’ble Chief Minister of U.P. The City Council of Austin, Texas, US awarded him the title of ‘Honorary Citizen’.

His international reputation notwithstanding, he remains essentially, a simple Indian at heart. He is a man with deep love for his country, its people and its composite culture. In his public life in spite of his many commitments, he has made commendable efforts to uphold human dignity. His interests in art, culture, language and history are inspired by the philosophy of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has contributed significantly to the furtherance of Sir Syed’s Aligarh Movement by the promotion of modern education at AMU through several endowments. He repaid to his alma mater by building 600 seats Nadeem Tarin Boys’ Hall for engineering students with his generous grant. He has also committed to build another such facility in the New Campus of AMU, Aligarh.

As part of the dream and his desire to give back to the society, Dr. Tarin has now incorporated a new charity organization named ‘Nadeem Tarin Foundation’, under whose banner a university with international infrastructure, facilities and standard is being conceptualized at Aligarh. This university will, Insha Allah, provide an opportunity and platform to the wards of NRIs to study and attain the knowledge which they normally find in western countries.

The school is indeed best to have Dr. Nadeem A. Tarin as its President.
